Contacts with Industry!

Eduardo Recife
One of my key projects I was asked to do was to get in contact with a few of my favourite artists, I was very nervous about this as well as excited.
I first contacted one of, my all time favourites 'Eduardo Recife' his work is so inspiring it just makes me think WOW! He is an illustrator, graphic designer and a typographer from Brazil. His work consists of three main aspects I love about his work and they are; Collaging, Drawing and Typefaces. All these features are also represented throughout a website he is creator of called 'Misprinted Type'.

Here are some magnificent pieces of work that I just Love and feel a vintage vibe throughout them!

Client: Panic! At the disco       Project:T-shirt Layout (2008)

Client: Panic! At the disco        Project: T-shirt layouts for 06 tour (2006)

Client: International Gigolo Records   Project: Album artwork : Grace Jones and Hell (2005)

Client: Best Fashion Magazine   Project: Interpretation of Perfume Bleu. (2010)

So I sent an email to him really excited I know he is very busy but if it was just possible to spend some time answering some questions I would be truly and massively grateful. Once I sent the email to him I was just waiting, hoping he would respond to my email even if it was just to say Sorry but I'm too busy. Three weeks went by and I thought he mustn't of got my message then I checked my emails again just to double check and there it was an email from one of my favourite artists ever I was ecstatic especially when he responded with a lovely email answering my questions! I was very Happy at this moment :)!

My short interview with Eduardo Recife is currently situated in a research file I have!

Nazario Graziano
I then contacted another artist that works in the industry that I am also very very fond of whom is an Italian artist called 'Nazario Graziano'.
He is a freelance illustrator, art director and graphic designer, I feel some of his inspirations are quite similar to mine as he loves old books, illustrations for kids, typography and most of all family. Family means so much to me and its lovely to finds artists that feel the same way!

Here is some of his amazing work;

Le Monde - Magazines illustrations for an article on IVF comissioned by Colagene.

After I sent an email to Nazario, I felt excited and nervous and I thought he might be too busy but in amazement he replied to my email straight away which was fantastic, he said he didn't have time to answer my questions as he was very busy at the moment which I didn't mind at all I was just previllaged to receive an email from him he's so cool. He was also very helpful as he gave me his website address to interviews he's done before, which I was very grateful for!

Here is the website address he sent me, when reading through these interviews they were very interesting, I wonder if he aspires to make his art work into tattoos as this is one of his big inspirations.
